MIDLAND, Texas – BCCK Holding Company (BCCK), a leader in engineering, procurement, fabrication and field construction services, has announced that BCCK’s president and CEO, Clark Butts, was named a 2018 Texas Tech Distinguished Engineer.

The Distinguished Engineer Award recognizes the most outstanding former students of the Whitacre College of Engineering at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. To be eligible for the award, recipients must be distinguished in their profession, an inspiration to their peers and have demonstrated continuing interest in areas outside the field of engineering.

Butts founded BCCK Holding Company in 1980 with only five employees. BCCK has since grown to more than 700 employees and now incorporates BCCK Engineering, NG Resources and NGF Construction.

Greg Hall, executive vice president, BCCK, said, “Clark Butts has proved to be an inspirational leader in encouraging all employees to bring their best qualities to their work, every day. His dedication to the company and industry impacts every employee at BCCK and has been the driving force behind our successful growth as a company.”

“I am very honored to receive this award from my university,” said Butts, “and I am proud of what BCCK has achieved over the past decades. I believe it is now important for me to pass on my experience and insights to younger engineers at BCCK, so we can continue the success that we have had to date.”
