Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2024 – the country’s premier event for the oil and gas industry – invites members of the media to register for the AOG 2024 Cocktail & Networking Event – scheduled for March 19, 2024 in Houston. Hosted by AOG 2024 in collaboration with Angola’s Ministry of Mineral Resources, Petroleum and Gas and the National Oil, Gas & Biofuels Agency (ANPG), the event serves as a platform to introduce U.S. investors and project developers to promising opportunities in Angola’s exploration and production sector. Facilitating direct engagement between U.S. investors and key stakeholders in Angola’s oil and gas industry, discussions on projects and partnerships are expected to take place.

The networking event will include key presentations by notable figures, including José Barroso, Secretary of State for Oil and Gas in Angola, who will shed light on current opportunities and future prospects in Angola’s hydrocarbon industry.

A presentation by the ANPG will showcase available blocks in Angola’s high-profile oil and gas basins as well as the ongoing success of the country’s six-year licensing round. Led by the ANPG, the most recent 12-block tender opened up opportunities in the Lower Congo and Kwanza basins. With another round scheduled for 2025, companies are expected to hold pivotal discussions around future investment opportunities.
