FERC to Conduct Environmental Review for Northern Supply Access Project

The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) said in a Sept. 11 notice in the Federal Register that it will prepare an environmental assessment (EA) for the Northern Supply Access Project, which includes construction and operation of facilities by Texas Gas Transmission LLC in Louisiana, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, Tennessee and Mississippi.

FERC will use the EA in its decision making process to determine whether the project is in the public convenience and necessity.

According to the notice, the project is designed to provide an additional 384,000 million standard cubic fee of natural gas per day of north to south transportation capacity on Texas Gas’s system while maintaining bi-directional flow capability on its system.
