Potentially explosive atmospheres demand precision, safety, and efficiency. Whether it’s maintenance work in an oil refinery or inspection operations in a chemical plant, clear visual documentation can make all the difference. The new Armadex OZC 3 brings professional imaging to these challenging environments without compromising safety.

Certified for ATEX and IECEx Zone 2/22, the OZC 3 combines rugged construction with high-end digital camera performance. It’s built for engineers and maintenance professionals who need to capture every detail, even under the most demanding conditions.

Designed for the field

Developed in collaboration with OM System, the OZC 3 is a modified version of the TG-7, specifically engineered for hazardous areas. The device weighs just 249 grams, making it compact and easy to handle in the field.

The 4x lossless optical zoom and 14x maximum zoom enable users to inspect machinery and installations from safe distances. This capability makes it one of the most versatile explosion-proof cameras currently available.

Intelligent imaging for industrial use

The OZC 3 offers multiple shooting modes that simplify work in challenging environments. Construction Mode automatically removes dust from images and adjusts brightness for both low-light and bright outdoor scenes. Label Capture Mode ensures equipment and asset labels remain readable for digital reporting, while Macro Mode captures extreme close-up detail from just one centimeter away.

Every image is supported by Environmental Logging, recording location, temperature, and pressure data for complete documentation.

The camera also features OI.Share, enabling real-time image streaming and remote control via ATEX-certified smartphones or tablets. Users can mount the OZC 3 on a telescopic pole and view the live camera feed directly on their mobile device. This makes it possible to inspect confined spaces, elevated structures, or hard-to-reach machinery without physical access. This functionality transforms the camera into a safe and versatile inspection tool.

Clear results under all conditions

The OZC 3 produces sharp 12-megapixel photos and 4K video at 30 frames per second, supported by an advanced CMOS sensor and image processing engine. The LED flash remains active and compliant with ATEX standards, ensuring visibility when natural light is limited.

Sensor Shift Image Stabilization guarantees stable video and crisp stills, even when moving through confined or uneven areas. This makes it an invaluable tool for inspections where image clarity and consistency are essential.

Built to work, built to last

Every detail of the OZC 3 is designed for real-world use. The USB-C 3.0 port enables fast and secure file transfer, while Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity make it simple to share images wirelessly. A single charge provides enough power for approximately 340 photos, and each unit includes a rugged transport case for global deployment.
