DECARBON 2027
The Oil and Gas Decarbonisation Congress (DECARBON 2027), held on 15-16 February in Berlin, focuses on the operational and commercial dimensions of the energy transition. In practice, lowering emissions across oil and gas activities requires facilities to consume fewer resources, limit production losses and maintain reliable output. The event addresses these priorities through industry experience and direct dialogue among organisations involved in cleaner development.
The two-day agenda tackles challenges at active sites, from efficiency gaps that increase consumption and equipment wear to reduced productivity. Advanced monitoring, predictive maintenance and digital tools help identify improvements, while case studies and expert discussions demonstrate their environmental and financial benefits.
From individual assets, the conversation expands to electrification, methane control, low-carbon hydrogen and CCUS. Together, these areas offer a connected view of investment priorities and long-term facility development, supported by the expertise of Equinor, Moeve, Motor Oil Hellas, PCK Raffinerie, Worley, Snam, GASCADE Gastransport and Technip Energies. Pre-arranged meetings create additional space for technology evaluation, focused negotiations and new commercial relationships.
