WHAT: ExxonMobil is inviting more than 100 local girls to spend the day with women engineers to gain a glimpse into a STEM career during “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day.” The girls will participate in several hands-on activities that demonstrate the creative side of science by getting them to think “outside the box” about the wonders of science, technology, engineering, and math. They will also hear from a selection of panelists from engineering, projects, and operations.
This year celebrates the twentieth year that ExxonMobil has hosted “Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day” to help shape the lives and future careers of the young women in the community.

Oil and gas operations are commonly found in remote locations far from company headquarters. Now, it's possible to monitor pump operations, collate and analyze seismic data, and track employees around the world from almost anywhere. Whether employees are in the office or in the field, the internet and related applications enable a greater multidirectional flow of information – and control – than ever before.
