A Revolutionary Way to Understand Energy Customers

Founders Advisors has opened a Houston office. This new office, Founders second office in Texas, will focus on serving middle-market energy equipment and service companies. The Houston office will be led by new Founders’ managing director John Sinders, an investment banker with significant transaction experience, including being the lead or co-lead energy banker at Jeffries, RBC and Howard Weil.

“Founders has served a lot of companies in the energy equipment and services sector over the years but adding John to the team and opening an office in Houston confirms our commitment to serving middle-market energy equipment and services companies throughout Texas, Louisiana, the Gulf Coast, and all active markets across North America,” said Duane Donner, Managing Partner at Founders.Founders Opens Houston Office, Hires Seasoned Banker

John has over 30+ years of experience acting as both a principal and advisor to companies executing mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and debt and equity financings. John began his career as a securities lawyer and transitioned into investment banking at Howard Weil in New Orleans. John went on to lead or co-lead the energy practices at Howard Weil, Jefferies, and RBC, closing over 200 transactions with an aggregate value of over 40 billion dollars.

“We’re excited to have John join the Founders team,” said Wesley Legg, President & COO. “John’s industry-rich background and M&A experience is a huge plus for our clients, and his Texas roots make him a natural fit for our firm’s culture.”

Prior to joining Founders, John was an executive partner with Calera Capital, and before that an executive vice president with publicly traded, Frank’s International, the second largest casing and well construction company in the world.

John received his B.A. with honors and Juris Doctorate from the University of Virginia.
