GreenIT commissions two solar plants in Piedmont with combined 19 MW capacity and 30 GWh annual output

GreenIT just flipped the switch on two new solar parks in Italy’s Piedmont region, adding another piece to the joint venture’s growing renewable energy puzzle in the country. That mention of wind is worth paying attention to. GreenIT’s stated ambition covers both solar and wind, even if everything announced so far leans heavily on solar. Whether wind projects are already moving through development hasn’t been confirmed in public disclosures.

GreenIT launched in 2021 as a joint venture between Plenitude — an Eni subsidiary holding a 51% stake — and CDP Equity, which holds the remaining 49%. The mission is straightforward: develop, build, and operate renewable energy facilities across Italy.
