ODESSA, Texas  – HENDERSON, a leader in the sales and service of drilling rigs and capital drilling equipment, has opened a new service center in Odessa, Texas, to expand its service capabilities.

The center serves as a spare parts warehouse and provides rig and equipment services including rebuilding and recertifying rigs, top drives, mud pumps and other drilling rig equipment.

James Lank, president and COO, HENDERSON, said, “Our aim at HENDERSON is to provide the industry with quick, reliable, turnkey service on rigs and capital equipment. We have successfully completed projects throughout North America, but previously, our service centers were solely located in Houston and Canada. With a strengthened presence in Odessa, we can expand our geographic reach, become more accessible to our Permian Basin customers and perform entire rig projects in our new yard.”

The 60,000 square-foot service center on the 4.8 acre site includes a 5,000 square-foot office space, sandblasting area, paint booth, weld shop, 15 overhead cranes and hydrostatic testing. Additionally, the center can accommodate up to 50 employees.

Charlie Lacour, general manager for the Permian Basin region, will be in charge of the center, located at 6510 Golder Ave., Odessa, Texas, 79764. “We plan to host an Open House event for media and customers in conjunction with the Permian Basin International Oil Show (PBIOS) in October 2018 and we look forward to following up with more details in the near future,” Lacour commented.
