International Energy Week (IEW) 2025

First held in 2009, the International Energy Week (IEW) has become the largest international event in East Malaysia, nestled in the heart of Borneo, where lush rainforests meet vibrant cultures. This biennial event serves as a pivotal platform for top-level decision-makers, policymakers, innovators, and thought leaders to converge and shape the future of sustainable energy.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Borneo’s natural beauty and rich biodiversity, IEW not only delves into cutting-edge technologies and renewable energy solutions but also promotes dialogue on environmental stewardship, global energy transitions, and significant investment opportunities in Borneo and the surrounding region. It stands as a testament to Borneo’s commitment to harnessing innovation for a greener, more resilient future, blending traditional wisdom with modern advancements.

The 6th edition of IEW, hosted by the Ministry of Energy and Environmental Sustainability (MEESty) Sarawak with the full support of the Sarawak State Government, will take place from 15 – 17 July 2025, at the Borneo Convention Centre Kuching. The theme for this edition is “From Sarawak to the World: Journey to Clean Energy Leadership.
