Kurita Water Industries, (Kurita), a leading global provider of water treatment products and services, is pleased to announce that it has received the “Distinction Award for Water Company of the Year” awarded by Global Water Intelligence as part of their annual Global Water Awards. This is the second time Kurita has received this award following its first recognition in 2017.

The Global Water Awards recognizes the most significant achievements in the water industry. Winning companies are selected by the subscribers of GWI Magazine and the Water Desalination Report. The award for ‘Water Company of the Year’ is the top prize, with two companies being recognized as winner or with distinction for their remarkable performance or superior business/service in the fiscal year.Kurita Receives Distinction Award for Water Company of the Year

In 2019, the Kurita Group significantly strengthened their global presence following the merger of its consolidated subsidiaries in the United States, including U.S. Water Services, Inc., Texas-based, Kurita America Inc., Fremont Industries, LLC, and Global Water Services Holding Company, Inc. The newly combined company is known as Kurita America Inc. Kurita also purchase an RO filters (Reverse Osmosis Membrane) chemical water treatment company in the UK last year.

Additionally, Kurita’s strategic investment in an American venture that utilizes Internet of Things (IoT) to provide water-saving solutions, along with Kurita’s overall technical expertise demonstrated in the launch of a water recycling technology system for the Japanese Experiment Module, “Kibo,” on the International Space Station, were cited as some of Kurita’s accomplishments that were recognized in receiving the award.
