The 32 MW Lubień onshore wind farm is the latest in a long line of wind energy projects in Europe, and with the vast majority of new projects turning to Vestas for their turbines, the market is awash with the flagship turbines that the company has made its fortune with.
Vestas has noted that it included the turbine order for the Polish wind farm in its Q4 intake, and plans to construct the turbines as soon as possible, most likely in the new year. Notably, the farm is expected to begin operations in 2027.
The latest turbine order is being carried out by several energy companies
Vestas has noted that the turbine order, which amounts to approximately 32 MW of clean energy, has been carried out by FW LUBIEŃ and the GreenVolt Power Group. The 8 Vestas turbines will combine to add significant energy capacity to the Polish grid once operational in 2027. The order comes as Poland has been granted funding from the EU for its new Baltic Sea Wind farm.
