NDT Global commercially launched QUADRA™, its new Ultra-High Resolution Inline Inspection system, at IPCE 2026 in Calgary. The announcement marks the company’s entry into a new generation of pipeline inspection tools — ones built around combining multiple inspection datasets into a single operational run, rather than treating each data source in isolation.

NDT Global unveils QUADRA™ at IPCE 2026

IPCE 2026 in Calgary was where NDT Global made it official. The company used the event to commercially launch QUADRA™, giving pipeline operators their first real look at the system and what it’s built to do.

Paul Cooper, President of NDT Global, put it plainly. “QUADRA represents an important step in how we think about pipeline inspection,” he said. “The future is not about individual inspection technologies operating independently.” For Cooper, this isn’t just a new product — it’s a signal of where the company is headed, and maybe where the industry needs to go.

Pipeline operators across North America and beyond are managing aging infrastructure while facing tighter regulatory requirements around integrity management.

The launch moves QUADRA™ out of development and into the operational market. Operators can now start deploying it on real assets.

Why NDT Global developed QUADRA™: The case for integrated inspection data

The problem QUADRA™ is trying to solve has been around for a while. Traditional inline inspection tends to work in silos — one run for one technology, one report for one threat type — which limits how much context you can actually build around real integrity risks.

When different threats show up in the same pipeline segment, examining each data source separately can blur the picture. Corrosion, seam anomalies, and hard spots don’t always arrive as neat, independent categories in the field.

QUADRA™ tackles this by combining ultra-high resolution axial magnetic flux leakage (MFL) with circumferential MFL and other complementary inspection data, all in a single run. It’s built on NDT Global’s existing UHR Trinity platform, enhanced with UHR C-MFL technology. Miguel Maldonado, Director of MFL Product Management, pointed to the modular design as central to what makes it useful. “QUADRA allows operators to tailor inspection capabilities to specific integrity challenges while collecting complementary datasets in a single run,” he said. “This provides a broader understanding of the pipeline without adding operational complexity.”

The goal: cover more ground — narrow axial features, hard spots, corrosion — without multiplying the operational burden.

How QUADRA™ works and what operators gain

Collecting more data only matters if you can do something useful with it. NDT Global’s approach with QUADRA™ focuses on what happens after the data comes in.

The system uses an integrated data environment that aligns, compares, and analyzes information from multiple inspection technologies together. Instead of separate reports from separate runs, operators get a combined view — one that provides better context for understanding pipeline health and prioritizing what needs attention. The modular design also lets you configure QUADRA™ to the integrity challenges most relevant to a given pipeline, while still capturing the complementary datasets that add context.

The practical upside, according to NDT Global, is a faster path from inspection to decision. Fewer separate runs, integrated data, unified workflow — the system is designed to improve both the speed and quality of integrity decision-making, moving operators faster from data to insight to action.

NDT Global’s broader strategy and industry context

QUADRA™ isn’t a standalone product. It reflects a broader direction for NDT Global — positioning the company not just as an inspection tool provider, but as a partner in the full integrity management workflow, connecting inspection data with advanced analysis and engineering support.

That ambition draws on what the company describes as decades of inspection experience and an extensive historical dataset. Those accumulated records feed into the analytical capabilities built into QUADRA™’s integrated environment, giving the system a knowledge base to draw on when findings are complex or ambiguous.

The timing makes sense. Pipeline operators across North America and beyond are managing aging infrastructure while facing tighter regulatory requirements around integrity management. The pressure to extract more value from each inspection run — and to make faster, better-supported decisions — isn’t going away anytime soon.

IPCE 2026 in Calgary was a natural fit for the launch. The event draws pipeline professionals dealing with exactly these challenges, and NDT Global used the platform to put QUADRA™ in front of the operators most likely to put it to work.

Designed to address corrosion, seam anomalies, and hard spots

QUADRA™ is NDT Global’s commercially launched Ultra-High Resolution Inline Inspection system. It combines axial MFL, circumferential MFL, and other complementary technologies into a single inspection run — built on the UHR Trinity platform and enhanced with UHR C-MFL capability. The system is designed to address corrosion, seam anomalies, hard spots, and narrow axial features without increasing operational complexity.

Its core differentiator is an integrated data environment that aligns and analyzes data from multiple sources together rather than in isolation. NDT Global says this speeds up integrity decision-making and improves confidence in the results.

QUADRA™ is now commercially available. IPCE 2026 in Calgary was its official introduction to the pipeline inspection market.
