European investor commits €6.6 million to solar project portfolio outside Bucharest

German company introduces new battery optimization platform for Iberian solar networks

As the renewable energy sector sees unprecedented growth across the world, Europe, in particular, has seen a flagship battery storage system being unveiled that aims to support the region’s solar-dominant markets. Solar power has long been overlooked by the international community, but through a new expansion of the sector in Europe, solar power and the battery storage systems that support it are set to reach new highs in the near future. Several companies have entered into BESS projects across the length and breadth of Europe, as noted by industry analysts.

Sungrow has unveiled its latest inverters and battery storage systems

Sungrow, a leader in the photovoltaic and battery storage solutions sector, has unveiled its newest and most impressive technology that features two new inverters and a flagship battery storage system that has industry experts screaming like kids running after the ice cream truck on a warm Sunday afternoon. The company recently showcased its SG350HX inverter and the ST5015UX-2H and ST5015UX-4H storage systems.

The new tech forms part of the PVBook, a free international strategic catalogue developed by Energía Estratégica. The liquid-cooled systems feature an exceedingly intelligent thermal management system, which can boost battery life and optimize auxiliary consumption. To round off the astonishing technology from Sungrow is the new PowerTitan 2.0 system, which is set to revolutionize the BESS sector in the near future.

More and more nations are turning to the untapped and overlooked potential of solar power

The renewable energy sector has experienced substantial growth over the past decade as the world turns its back on the fossil fuel sector, with some nations keeping an eye on developments. However, for the vast majority of countries, the renewable energy sector is the future of the international energy market and will see unprecedented growth in the next decade and further afield as the world aims to end its reliance on fossil fuels.

Battery energy storage systems have become the toast of the energy town

With the litany of nations turning to the renewable energy sector, the question becomes: what is the best and most viable form of energy generation that reduces emissions and provides sustainable growth and scalability? The answer for several European nations is simple: Solar and BESS. Specifically, battery storage systems have become the belle of the energy ball.

Principia, an independent power producer, has recently announced the successful construction of its very first battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Greece, following an insanely short construction timeframe of just six months. Further along the European continent, Sweden-based BESS platform Repono AB has acquired a standalone BESS project in Romania.

Germany has also seen Entrix enter into a deal that boosts BESS in the nation

Entrix has announced that it has possibly secured a deal with developer-operator Kyon Energy to develop a strategic framework to optimise its planned BESS projects in Germany. Entrix recently announced a new battery optimization platform for Iberian solar networks. The solar power sector has grown beyond what energy experts have expected, and the world is better off for it.

Europe has become the spiritual home of the renewable energy sector

While the United States sees increased production across its upstream gas sector, Europe is heading in a completely different direction, with several nations commissioning huge solar projects, such as Belgium, which recently activated the first phase of Europe’s largest grid battery project. Like it or not, the world is turning to the potential of solar power and battery storage systems. If the current trend continues, which has seen companies developing flagship technologies, solar power will become the dominant energy resource in Europe, and potentially replace the fossil fuel sector for good.
