Ever since the clean energy transition began, the United States has shown an intention to make it easier for developers to successfully execute projects as the nation eliminated the restrictions that previously delayed initiatives. As such, with the help of a wide range of companies, the nation is on track to meet the clean energy targets that it set for itself. Among the companies contributing to this is Primoris, as it pushed six utility-scale solar projects across the U.S. toward the finish line, advancing a multi-project construction pipeline at once.

Primoris Services Corporation makes a massive contribution to the U.S. solar sector

The United States continues to be comfortably among the leading solar energy producing countries in the world. Because of its access to wealth and resources, it is in a good position to execute the first of a kind energy projects. Primoris Services Corporation is a leading provider of critical infrastructure services for the utility, energy, and renewable markets throughout the United States and Canada.

The company is known for delivering a wide range of engineering, construction, and maintenance capabilities that power, connect, and improve society on projects spanning utility-scale solar, renewables, power delivery, communications, power generation, and transportation infrastructure.

A press release from Primoris Services Corporation revealed a few business updates that consisted of the progress toward the completion of several utility-scale solar projects. The company announced that it is making significant progress toward completing the limited number of utility-scale solar projects that have experienced margin pressure and influenced its 2026 financial results.

Five of the six projects are said to have now achieved mechanical completion, with the remaining project on track for mechanical completion in the fourth quarter. The execution of energy projects is a multifaceted process that the general population does not always understand, as they only look forward to enjoying the benefits of consistent energy supply.

Primoris also revealed that Matt Tetrault has been named President, Renewables, effective September 28, 2026. Mr. Tetrault joins Primoris from Apex Clean Energy (Apex), where he served as Executive Vice President leading engineering, procurement, and construction activities for the company’s renewable energy portfolio.

An overview of the solar energy sector’s transformation over the years

The solar energy industry has evolved at such a rapid pace mainly because of the integration of technology, which allowed developers to overcome the issues that the sector was once heavily criticized for. Nowadays, companies are announcing mega-money deals which show the positive direction in which the sector is headed.

Primoris announced that it has acquired an estimated $100 million of common stock during the third quarter, with an average price of an estimated $75.15 per share. As of September 28, 2026, the company had purchased $150 million of stock, with an average price of an estimated $84.27, and exhausted the capacity available under its share purchase program authorized by its Board of Directors on April 30, 2025.

Looking ahead: What does the completion of the initiative signify for Primoris?

There is no question that Primoris is set to finish 2026 on a high note and will be hoping to continue that momentum into 2027. Koti Vadlamudi, President and Chief Executive Officer of Primoris, stated the following:

“I want to thank our operations teams for their continued commitment to delivering high-quality solar assets for our customers as we work through the cost challenges on these projects. As we approach completion of these projects, we believe the challenges impacting our 2026 results are increasingly behind us.”

Energy companies that offer a wide range of services increase their chances of being appointed to lead groundbreaking initiatives as they are perceived as being capable of delivering at different phases of the initiative. Primoris is known for offering unmatched value to its clients, which is an element that lures more clients to work with the company.
