Oil Companies Cut Millions in Wrong Places as Clean Energy Reshapes Industry

National Energy Talk Episode 41: Sarah Cove: Talent & Team Development in the Corporate Energy Sector

HOUSTON – Oil & Gas Trafficking Awareness Group (OGTAG) will host its second Energy Empowers Freedom (EEF) January 19, in recognition of National Human Trafficking Awareness Month.

Human Trafficking is a major issue globally – in Houston, Texas and throughout the United States. The important work of educating society about the 2nd largest growing criminal enterprise, how it is surrounding our lives and what we can do about it, is a passion that OGTAG shares with its 61 oil and gas industry partner companies.

Aquashine, Mollitiam, SLB (formerly Schlumberger), and others are sponsoring this event, held at Studio Movie Grill in City Centre, on January 19 at 11:30am. The event will feature a screening of The Sound of Freedom, followed by panel of local experts who have experienced human trafficking in different ways, bridging the film to local realities for overcomers and human trafficking.

The goal of this event is to bring as many energy industry employees as possible to the table to learn about human trafficking through this film, and uncover the realities of human trafficking from Hollywood to Houston.

Several Houston nonprofits will be present, speaking to attendees about the work being done locally to end this crime again humanity. Learn more here.

If you or your company would like to sponsor the EEF event, click here. We are still looking for a sponsor for lunch during the event.
