Looks like a spherical wind turbine — Brings you 2500 W free at home

Having a wind turbine in your home might seem like a stretch of the imagination, but a company from China has revealed its new vertical wind turbine that produces 3000W of power. That would be like covering your roof with solar panels, only less intrusive and more visually appealing. That’s before we mention the compact size and weight. The world has embraced the renewable energy sector as we have accepted the uncomfortable truth that the reliance on fossil fuels is killing the planet, and our children’s futures, too. Now, several startups have emerged that are solely dedicated to finding new and innovative ways of harnessing wind power.

Once again, China is leading the advancements in wind power

We have all seen the huge and cumbersome wind turbines that have been constructed in several countries around the world. The United States has a President who is vehemently against the implementation of the wind farms. He claims that wind turbines have a negative effect on the aesthetics of a region while also killing several animals with their huge propellers.

While there is some truth to his stance, the overarching theory is that wind power is a resource that we are not fully utilizing, and more could be done to bring the technology up to the modern-day requirements. Step in the Chinese, who have a reputation for not only pioneering concepts, but also have the ability to significantly improve any existing technology.

Vertical wind turbines have come so far in a short time frame

Most people are not even aware that a vertical wind turbine exists. But they certainly do, and a company from China, Wuxi Flyt New Energy Technology, has built a new type of wind turbine that is compact, lightweight, and has the capacity to produce 3000W. The company claims that the new vertical wind turbine is as efficient as covering your roof in solar panels.

The curved blade design is highly efficient in capturing that sweet wind power through a coreless generator. The design also produces little to no noise and draws inspiration from the aviation industry as to how to effectively cut through the air. Wind turbines are often huge structures that take up a large part of the landscape, but this new vertical wind turbine is a much, much smaller and can be used at home.

The Chinese people are widely praised for their compact designs that are a direct result of the need for compact products and systems due to the lack of space in the country. Several countries have implemented plans to build huge wind farms that may have an adverse effect on nature. That is not the case for the wind turbine from Wuxi Flyt New Energy Technology. Can the system be scaled up to offer even more power on a much larger scale?

Wind power is still one of the best fuel sources for our energy needs

The renewable energy market is growing at an astonishing rate. Every day, we hear about new startups that are solely focused on developing new systems and procedures that will propel the world into a future without fossil fuels. We are all acutely aware of the climate change that is a direct result of our insatiable appetite for power and energy. Since the dawn of the industrial revolution, we have relied on fossil fuels to catapult us into areas we never thought possible before. But all that could now change thanks to the advancements in wind power generation spearheaded by the Chinese. And the world would be better off without the need for huge wind farm projects that have dominated the sector.
