Faith Technologies Incorporated has announced an $80.5 million investment to build its first Louisiana manufacturing facility in Ouachita Parish, Monroe. The 500,000-square-foot plant, located at 535 Highway 594, is scheduled to begin operations in spring 2027.
FTI commits $80.5M to its first Louisiana facility
Construction is already underway at the 535 Highway 594 site—a concrete first step in FTI’s expansion into the Deep South. The facility will operate under FTI’s Excellerate® brand, which focuses specifically on modular electrical manufacturing.
Ouachita Parish sits roughly 100 miles east of Shreveport, placing the new plant squarely in Northeast Louisiana. That location was not accidental. The region has been actively courting industrial investment, and FTI’s decision reflects a calculated read of where opportunity was waiting.
At 500,000 square feet, the facility is substantial by any measure. It reflects the scale of production FTI envisions for electrical assemblies and energy solutions destined for large-scale project sites across the country.
Growing demand in clean energy and infrastructure drives expansion
FTI points to rising demand in clean energy, technology, and large-scale infrastructure markets as the primary driver behind the expansion. Those sectors have seen sustained growth in recent years, and manufacturers capable of delivering at scale are increasingly sought after.
The Monroe facility will rely on modular and lean construction methods—an approach that allows FTI to produce electrical assemblies and energy solutions in a controlled environment before shipping them directly to job sites. The result: fewer delays, more consistency.
Executive Vice President Pat McGettigan framed the investment plainly. “This facility will allow us to grow strategically while creating high-quality career opportunities and investing in the future of skilled manufacturing in Northeast Louisiana,” he said. The added capacity is designed to help FTI serve clients faster and more efficiently, and in competitive infrastructure markets, speed of delivery can carry as much weight as product quality.
Project expected to generate more than 500 jobs in Northeast Louisiana
FTI expects to create at least 200 direct jobs at the Monroe facility, with entry-level positions starting at $22 per hour—a compensation floor that positions the plant competitively within the regional labor market. Louisiana Economic Development estimates the project will generate roughly 350 additional indirect jobs, pushing the total projected impact past 500 new opportunities across the Northeast Region.
Beyond immediate hiring, FTI’s apprenticeship program offers something more durable. Workers can enter at the entry level and, over four years, become licensed electricians—earning income throughout the process rather than stepping away from work to train.
That model carries particular weight here. Skilled trades shortages have been a persistent challenge in the region, and building a pipeline of licensed electricians from within the existing workforce addresses both the company’s staffing needs and a broader gap that local employers have struggled with for years.
State and local officials highlight regional economic significance
Louisiana Economic Development Secretary Susan B. Bourgeois connected the announcement to the state’s wider economic trajectory. “As new companies continue to choose our state, we are seeing suppliers, partners, and supporting industries follow,” she said, describing the investment as evidence of a strengthening business ecosystem.
Ouachita Parish Police Jury President Shane Smiley was equally direct. He called the project “a catalyst for continued growth in the Millhaven area” and noted that it reinforces Ouachita Parish’s standing as a key economic hub for the region. Grow NELA President and CEO Rob Cleveland pointed to what he described as a broader perceptual shift: “Companies around the world and from all sectors are taking a fresh look at Northeast Louisiana,” framing the FTI announcement as part of a larger pattern of growing industrial interest.
About Faith Technologies Incorporated
FTI was founded in 1972 and has grown into a national presence across engineering, construction, manufacturing, and clean energy solutions. The company employs more than 5,000 people and provides end-to-end electrical planning, design, and installation services.
The Monroe facility will operate under the Excellerate® brand, FTI’s dedicated modular electrical manufacturing division—a signal that the company is building out manufacturing as a distinct business line, not simply adding production volume.
The $80.5 million investment marks FTI’s first presence in Louisiana and extends its manufacturing footprint into a new geographic market. With construction already in progress, the key facts hold: a 500,000-square-foot facility, more than 500 projected jobs, entry-level wages starting at $22 per hour, an apprenticeship pathway to licensed electrician status, and a target start date of spring 2027.
