U.S. Empire Wind offshore project aims to deliver first electricity from its 810 MW capacity by late 2026

Wind turbines have long been overlooked by the international energy community. However, that reality may be coming to an end soon, as the Baltic Industrial Group, a Polish manufacturer of onshore wind towers, has recently announced a strategic partnership with Vensys Energy, a German wind tower component manufacturing company, to supply onshore wind towers in a new pan-European contract that not only boosts the wind power sector, but also enables Europe to accelerate the transition away from fossil fuel energy generation towards the renewable energy sector.

Under the new partnership, the Baltic Industrial Group will supply wind towers to several European nations

For far too long, the world has stagnated in its embrace of the wind power sector while solar and nuclear hold the torch for the renewable energy industry. The global community has been contemplating the best form of energy production that does not harm the environment. Our continued reliance on fossil fuels has devastated the world and resulted in significant climate change.

The new strategic partnership between two of the world’s leading wind power companies will supply essential components for wind tower manufacturing across several European nations.

The Baltic Industrial Group will manufacture five towers for a new wind power project in the United Kingdom, along with seven towers headed for new wind projects in France, Poland, and Germany.

The group will also supply essential components for a project in Portugal

The group has also noted that it will supply five ESC sections for a new wind power project in Portugal. These exemplify the group’s expertise in the wind manufacturing sector, as these components are exceedingly complicated and require expert levels of engineering ability.

“For us, the cooperation with VENSYS is not only a new contract, but also a strategic step towards further development in the renewable energy sector. Our goal is for the towers built in Gdańsk to operate throughout Europe – from the Atlantic coast to the southern regions of the continent. This proves that the Baltic Industrial Group is ready to implement the most demanding projects in the renewable energy sector.” – Remigiusz Paszkiewicz, President of the Management Board of the Baltic Industrial Group

Europe’s cooperative dialogue between companies has boosted the appeal of the wind power sector

With the exceedingly cold European winter approaching, many European nations are turning to the renewable energy sector to increase energy supply to alleviate concerns over increasing demand.

The strategic partnership between the Baltic Industrial Group and VENSYS, which should be noted, is based in Germany but owned by China, and will complete the delivery in several phases. The new partnership covers the entire process, from designing the wind towers with a specialized team from VENSYS, manufacturing of said wind towers, and developing efficient transport logistics.

The wind power sector has seen tremendous growth in Europe as of late, with MingYang, a Chinese wind turbine manufacturer, unveiling its plans to enter the European wind energy sector in the next few years. This points to a new future where wind will be embraced by the powers that be on the continent.

Industry watchdogs have noted an increase in wind turbine orders headed for Europe

Europe has become the epicenter of the global energy transition that has swept up the sector. Many European nations are fostering a welcoming environment for investors in wind power, which has led to WindEurope, a leading wind sector watchdog, stating that Europe has increased its wind turbine orders during the first half of 2025. The reality of the situation is simple: Europe needs to diversify its energy production capabilities to ensure a safe and efficient transition to the renewable energy sector over the next decade or so.
