PowerBank has been one of the leading companies when it comes to executing energy initiatives as of 2026. The solar landscape has benefited massively from the integration of technological innovation into the industry and also from the Green Revolution, which has led to a greater number of companies willing to invest millions into energy projects. There is also an emergence of new companies that are willing to invest millions into projects as they are anticipating the future profitability of solar projects. In a move to further its dominance, PowerBank secures safe-harbor status for a multi-state portfolio comprising 97 MW of solar capacity and 42 MWh of battery storage.

PowerBank remains committed to advancing its solar energy ambitions

PowerBank refers to a vertically integrated developer and independent power producer based in the North American region. The entity has a well-known reputation for its success in the production and development of solar photovoltaic and battery energy storage projects. In the current state of the energy industry, the company’s focus is on powering the digital economy and AI data centers with a development pipeline of over 1 GW.

Capitalizing and carrying on its activity, PowerBank Corporation has strengthened its position in the North American renewable energy market after confirming that a portfolio of 23 distributed solar and energy storage projects has secured safe-harbor status.

This portfolio occupies regions all across New York and Pennsylvania and reflects 97 MW of solar capacity and 42 MWh of battery storage once completed. Owing to the achievement, the project remains in line and eligible for essential federal clean energy incentives while supporting the company’s expansion strategy.

PowerBank completes a deal involving 97 MW of solar and 42 MWh of battery storage

One of the biggest and most notable changes that has occurred in the solar industry within the most recent few years is the eagerness of developers to combine energy generation and storage. Clean energy projects like solar and wind are prone to intermittency issues because they are generated through an unpredictable natural source, which is the weather. To overcome this, developers are now combining energy production and storage.

PowerBank Corporation announced that its equipment procurement agreements consist of 23 distributed solar and energy storage projects through its exclusively owned subsidiary, Abundant Solar Power Inc. The agreements apparently have a total construction value of an estimated $242.3 million.

Industry experts are convinced that agreements are enough to keep the projects eligible for United States federal Investment Tax Credits under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025. The company also achieved the safe-harbor milestone, but on a separate basis, entailing two separate procurement milestones.

The first one consisted of 15 late-stage projects in New York State, responsible for roughly 67 MW of solar capacity and 11 MWh of battery storage.

The project’s 15 late-stage projects reflected an estimated construction value of $168 million and potential Investment Tax Credit eligibility of about $65 million. A second procurement phase included eight further projects across New York and Pennsylvania.

These initiatives account for an additional 30 MW of solar capacity and 31 MWh of energy storage, with an estimated construction value of $74.3 million and potential tax credit value of $29.7 million.

There are massive expectations for the 23 projects. For instance, they are expected to operate as community solar and net-metered developments as soon as financing, permitting, and construction activities are completed.

Looking ahead: How PowerBank’s agreements change the energy industry

One of the most spoken about aspects of the 23 projects is their involvement in community solar models, which are viewed as advantageous because they allow numerous customers to benefit from a shared solar installation without requiring individual rooftop systems. The combined 42 MWh storage capacity will help enhance grid flexibility.

All in all, they are predicted to generate enough electricity to serve approximately 11,000 homes. PowerBank deserves credit for supporting the reliability of renewable power generation.
