Amid the calls to diversify global energy markets and integrate more renewable energy projects, Germany has become a prime example of how to efficiently advance the standing of the renewable energy sector. The European nation has become an exemplar of progressiveness and has developed some astonishing projects that will bring the renewable energy market to the forefront of the international market over the coming years. Now, Nordex has been selected as the preferred supplier of essential wind turbines for Germany’s 77 MW Schneifelhöhe wind project.

Nordex has become the dominant force in the wind energy sector globally

Nordex has been operating in the wind sector for an exceedingly long time. With decades of experience, the company has invested heavily in research and development of its flagship wind turbines and has developed the technology to such an amazing level that the company is undoubtedly now the king of the international wind market.

Up until now, Nordex has developed an amazing portfolio that includes supplying wind turbines for some of the largest and most game-changing wind projects across several of the largest energy markets in the world, including but not limited to Germany, Spain, Brazil, India, the USA, and Mexico. With more than 10,400 employees, the company’s focus has been entirely on the wind turbine manufacturing sector.

Nordex Group tapped to supply wind turbines for a new German wind energy project

Due to the company’s vast experience in constructing, installing, and maintaining wind turbines for a number of markets, it has now been selected by its home nation of Germany to supply the necessary wind turbines for the 77 MW Schneifelhöhe wind project in Rhineland-Palatinate. This marks a new era of wind energy generation in Germany as the nation aims to meet its self-imposed clean energy and emission targets by the end of the decade.

Germany’s proclivity for alternative energy generation has been a sight to behold

Germany has become one of the most progressive nations in the world over the past few decades. After being subjected to the division of the Cold War, essentially separating the nation in half, it has made significant progress in all manners of social and economic sectors, that’s before we even mention the German automotive sector.

Now, the European heavyweight is planning a new wind farm located on the forested Schneifel ridge in Rhineland-Palatinate, and has selected Nordex to supply, install, and maintain the wind turbines for the site, boosting domestic wind generation capacity and supplying jobs for the local population. Nordex’s Delta4000 turbines, each with a nominal output of 7 MW, will be installed at a hub height of 164 meters.

The new deal comes as Nordex has been selected for another wind project in Ireland, exemplifying the company’s vast expertise in the sector.

“We are very pleased to be making another important contribution to the energy transition in Rhineland-Palatinate with this project and to sustainably strengthen the region’s security of energy supply. For this order, we are working in partnership with the region’s leading utility Energieversorgung Mittelrhein (evm), Stadtwerke Karlsruhe, and Thüga Erneuerbare Energien,” – Felipe Villalon Waldburg-Zeil, Director of Sales, Region Central, Nordex Group

Nordex has become the backbone of the international wind sector

The firm’s astonishing domination of the international wind sector has been all too evident in recent years. Aside from the new 77 MW Schneifelhöhe wind project in Germany, Nordex has been tapped to supply the necessary wind turbines for Grupo Enhol’s wind repowering project in Spain. The company has been operating with a singular focus on advancing the wind energy generation capacity of the global energy market, and now will continue to dominate the sector for many years to come.
