As a result, the world’s predictable seasonal cycles become less common.

A warmer atmosphere can hold much more moisture before releasing it.

This thermodynamic change amplifies the global hydrological cycle.

For some regions, this means sudden and catastrophic flash flooding.

Approximately 50,000 workers have been employed to manage a massive engineering project’s meteorological infrastructure.

The goal was to redirect monsoon rains by building a permanent airborne water corridor.

Tens of thousands of automated, solid-fuel-burning chambers were installed directly on alpine slopes.

The chambers produce silver iodide particles, which are pushed into the clouds by upward wind drafts.

These artificial particles act as ice-nucleation centers that enable existing atmospheric moisture to condense.

Rain and snow are triggered over river basins, pumping billions of tons of water down into the dry northern plains.

China’s radical atmospheric intervention faces intense international scrutiny.

Meteorologists argue that geoengineering cannot produce water out of thin air. Instead, cloud seeding steals moisture that would have naturally fallen elsewhere.

This has triggered severe cross-border geopolitical conflicts with neighboring countries such as India.

Furthermore, experts are concerned about the long-term impact of pumping silver iodide into the sky. They believe that this approach will permanently disrupt fragile regional ecosystems.
